Kumba,CameroonKUMBA–Shock and consternation have gripped Malabo Quarter n Kumba I Municipality, Meme Division, South West Region, following the discovery of the lifeless body of a cleaner at a private health facility in Kumba.

The deceased, identified as Fabris was found in a marshy area near Malabo Stream in Kumba I Sub-Division on Monday, July 20, 2026, at about 6:00 a.m. according to the Block Leader of the area.

Elements of the Kumba Firefighters Unit retrieved the corpse from the swamp. Present at the scene were medical doctors, the Mayor of Kumba I Sub-Divisional Council, Prince Barrister Eseme Moses Esembe, and the Divisional Officer of Kumba I, Ali Anogu

At press time, the circumstances surrounding his death were yet to be established.

The body was later deposited at the mortuary of the Kumba Regional Hospital Annex
