Tiko, Cameroon — Following the successful organization of the Champion of Champions Football and Handball Tournaments and the distribution of more than 74 driving licenses to bike riders in Tiko Municipality, Dr. Divine Mbamome on Sunday, August 9, 2026, rounded off his humanitarian outreach activities in Tiko and Mutengene.
Support to Orphanages
As part of the outreach, Dr. Divine Mbamome and his team visited Dorcas Orphanage in Mutengene, Rhema Grace Orphanage in Ombe, and the Orphanage of All Nations along the Tiko-Douala Road.
The orphanages received donations of bags of rice and salt, offered as a gesture of solidarity and support to the children and their caregivers.
Support to Tribal Communities
The humanitarian exercise also extended to more than 12 tribal communities across Tiko Subdivision.
Among the beneficiaries were the Bakossi Community in Tiko, Bakweri Community in Tiko, Bayangi Community in Tiko, Bafut Manjong in Mutengene, and Bali Community in Mutengene, among others.
The various communities expressed appreciation for the gesture, which they described as a demonstration of Dr. Divine Mbamome’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening community solidarity.
A Commitment to Service
The humanitarian outreach, which forms part of the second edition of the initiative, further underscores Dr. Divine Mbamome’s commitment to humanitarian service, community support, and social solidarity within Tiko Subdivision.
Through these interventions, Dr. Divine continues to promote a culture of giving and community engagement, reaching out to vulnerable persons, grassroots organizations, and diverse communities.
From Sports to Social Support
The humanitarian outreach forms part of a wider series of activities associated with the second edition of Dr. Divine Mbamome's community initiative.
The Champion of Champions Football and Handball Tournaments provided an avenue for young people to participate in sports, while the distribution of driving licences to bike riders represented another dimension of the initiative focused on supporting people involved in the local transport sector.
The subsequent donations to orphanages and tribal communities expanded the initiative beyond sports and youth engagement to include social welfare and grassroots humanitarian assistance.
This combination of activities highlights an approach that places emphasis not only on entertainment and sporting competition, but also on practical forms of community intervention.
