Kumba,Cameroon — The Wimbum Cultural and Development Association (WICUDA), Kumba branch, has taken a step toward completing its event center in Kumba,  South West Region.

During a spirited mini-launch on Sunday 2nd August, 2026 under the leadership of President Lamntang Kilo Francis, the association rallied members, raising over 500,000 CFA.

This milestone will bring them closer to completing the WICUDA Kumba branch hall, situated at Ntoko Street Kumba.

President Kilo Francis expressed his gratitude, stating, "This event center will be a beacon of our heritage, a place where the Wimbum culture thrives and where future generations will come together."

The fundraising drive will continue over the next few weeks, and with the momentum gained, the association expects construction to begin in September. Once completed, the multi-purpose hall will host meetings, concerts, weddings, and educational seminars, strengthening the cultural fabric of Wimbum people living in Kumba.

The mini fundraising was spiced by traditional annimation.

The Wimbum tribe is originally Donga/Mantung Division North west Region of Cameroon, sparead across Ndu and Nkambe Central Sub-Division.
