Buea, Cameroon — The Mountain Progressive Farmers Cooperative Society (MOPROF-COOP-BOD) has issued a public warning against the alleged illegal use, reproduction and fraudulent presentation of its cooperative certificate.
In a public notice dated October 1, 2026, the cooperative said it had become aware that certain individuals and entities were allegedly using Certificate Reference No. N22/029/CMR/SW/56/296/CCA/001009/001009DDC, dated June 11, 2007, for purposes that had not been authorised by MOPROF-COOP-BOD.
According to the notice, the alleged activities include the false representation of membership, unauthorised commercial operations and misrepresentation of cooperative activities that have not been approved by the organisation's Board of Directors.
MOPROF-COOP-BOD said such use of the certificate is unauthorised and warned members of the public, businesses, partners and relevant authorities to exercise caution when dealing with individuals or entities presenting the document.
The cooperative further called on all persons and entities allegedly using the certificate without authorisation to immediately cease and desist from doing so. It said further unauthorised use could result in civil and criminal proceedings, as well as regulatory action by competent authorities.
The warning references applicable laws governing cooperatives in Cameroon, including the OHADA Uniform Act on Cooperative Societies and the Cameroon Penal Code.
The notice was signed by Akainji Moses F., President and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Shengang Richard, Secretary General of the Board of Directors.
MOPROF-COOP-BOD said the notice was issued for public information and encouraged anyone seeking verification to contact its secretariat.
