Agbor Clara is a women with disability, she says as a PWD, she has often faced discrimination, yet that has not discouraged her from advocating against discrimination against Persons with Disabilities

Kumba,CameroonPersons living with disabilities continue to raise concerns over what they describe as continued neglect by both the government and, in many cases, their own families.

They say beyond the daily challenges of living with a disability, they also face discrimination, exclusion, and limited opportunities within their communities. Women with disabilities say they are particularly affected, often experiencing stigma and unfair treatment simply because of their condition.

Agbor Clara is one of those sharing her experience. She recounts how she has been treated differently by members of her community because of her disability, highlighting the emotional and social challenges she continues to endure.

Many disability rights advocates are now calling on the government, community leaders, and the public to promote inclusion, protect their rights, and create an environment where persons living with disabilities are treated with dignity and respect.
